Find balance in all things this Lotusbloom Season!

The lush jungles of the Golden Cradle are as full of life as they are mysterious. Those who live here walk two paths: the path of Tranquility, or the path of Disorder. These two philosophies play out in not just their personal choices, but also in the world around them. In constant struggles for dominance, the dragons that dwell here demonstrate this to devastating effect each day. Which path will you choose?

Look within to tap into your spiritual side as you discover new dragon rider allies and dragons. Fly freely this Lotusbloom season, Dragon Lords!

There won’t be a weekly stream this week, as we wish Arelyna the best in her next big adventure. We’ll be returning to streaming in the future as soon as we’re able!

Lotusbloom Season Updates

Branch + Prize Updates

The Lotusbloom Season will continue to follow the same structure from previous Seasons, but with a change to Season Keys. Instead of 3 Season Keys as in previous seasons, the Lotusbloom Season’s Base Boost, Dragon Rider, and the non-festive Dragon branches will each contain 6 seasons keys each, spaced throughout the branch, and 18 are required to unlock your choice of either Mythic Dragon. Mythic Dragon branches will be available at no Sigil cost and all of the Dragon’s evolution stones can be claimed for free once the branch is unlocked. All Dragon branches will have an Eldritch Tier evolution stone available to evolve them to the highest current in-game Tier.

  • This Season, the Legendary Dragon branches will require 35.5k Sigils to complete each line.

  • The Base Boost and Dragon Rider branches will require at 34.5k total Sigils to complete.

  • The Festive Dragon branch will maintain its 30k Sigil cost, and will evolve through the Eldritch Tier.

Similar to previous Seasons, players will have a choice-based prize where Gold Chests are typically found in a branch. Just like Dragon Rider crafting shards, players will now have a choice of what resources to collect from certain prizes in Seasonal branches. The choices will allow players to claim either Gold Chests or a static amount of items that can be found in Gold Chests, such as Elemental Embers, Inner Fires, and Timers. If a Seasonal prize would originally distribute multiple Gold Chests, the equivalent value of that resource will reflect the quantity of Gold Chests in the alternative choice.

For example: A player comes upon a prize in a Seasonal line that originally offered Gold Chests to claim. Now, this player has the choice to claim the Gold Chests or instead claim Elemental Embers or Inner Fires. The prize will be an either / or structure, so once the chosen prize is claimed, it cannot be traded or changed.

Branches and Boosts

Limited Time Branches will make a return in the Lotusbloom Season! These branches will focus on a variety of resources and at least one branch will appear throughout the season for one week at a time. After the week duration has expired, the branch will disappear and prizes in them cannot be claimed further, so be sure to claim them while they’re available!

Limited branches themselves will be much shorter and cost fewer Sigils than their Legendary branch counterparts, and they will feature a multitude of items to help you on your Dragons journey! You’ll even have the opportunity to obtain Seasons Key in the limited branch! More information about these branches will be announced as they become available.

Emberheart Drake

Look in the eye of the tiger and see the thrill of the fight.

Asura lives for the hunt and no one is safe while this dragon prowls the jungles of the Glowing Cradle. Despite this fearsome, well-earned reputation, on occasion a courageous dragon rider will temporarily earn the trust and aid of Asura, but the need to return to the hunt always beckons this dragon home to the jungles.

Asura Spotlight Video

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QvrIQeoXLnc" width="560"></iframe>

Design Intent and Strategy:

Asura is a well-rounded hunter with a mix of disabling, destructive, and debuffing power. Asura’s primary ability is two stage spell: On the Hunt. The first spell in sequence is Stalk, which briefly cloaks the dragon and restores a portion of its ammo. Upon uncloaking, Asura damages nearby towers. After casting Stalk, Pounce becomes available, which debuffs towers to take massively increased damage. To enable Asura’s red spells, the dragon has Entrap, which disables all towers in the target area for a short duration, or until the towers take damage. Note that neither Stalk nor Pounce will remove Entrap’s disabling effect, so don’t be afraid to cast those spells in quick succession. Asura’s other free-target utility spell is Hunter’s Mark, which marks a target tower. If any dragon destroys that marked tower, then they will restore health and rage. Asura’s main combo for attacking an island is to use Entrap on the Red Mage Tower, dump the dragon’s ammo reserve and then cloak with Stalk. The cloak can be broken by casting Pounce, and the spell’s massive debuff will allow Asura to shred any remaining towers.

Keeper of Balance

Serenity comes from within.

The inhabitants of the city of Vasant are mostly elven and by and large they ascribe to a philosophy they call the Two Paths. Each person walks either down the path of Disorder or the path of Tranquility; the chosen path impacts everything from how a person dresses to their chosen profession. This way of life is believed to have originated from the mysterious dragon Nucifera, although the details surrounding how and when this happened have been lost to time and myth.

Nucifera Spotlight Video

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/5cuZ7Xz6c-Q" width="560"></iframe>

Design Intent and Strategy:

Nucifera is a debuff-oriented sorcerer who relies on frequent spell-casts to succeed in battle. Nucifera’s primary ability is the Two Paths, which is broken up into two different debuff spells. Disorder will damage nearby towers and cause them to take increased damage. Tranquility will also damage nearby towers, but they’ll instead be debuffed to deal less damage. Towers can only have one of these debuffs at a time, and damaging a tower with either Disorder or Tranquility will always apply that spell’s specific debuff. Nucifera’s other offensive spell is Karmic Bolt, which will heavily damage all towers in a small target area and restore health on cast. Karmic Bolt should typically prioritize red mage towers, as Nucifera heavily relies on the Two Paths for both damage and survivability. Instead of a resist, Nucifera has an offensive passive called Peacebringer. At the beginning of battle, an AI-controlled warrior dragon is automatically summoned. The summon cannot die and will attack nearby towers. It also grants Nucifera increased rage generation. Peacebringer massively increases Nucifera’s damage output, and this damage can be further increased by applying Disorder’s debuff to the summon’s current target. Nucifera’s only defensive spell is Magic Barrier, which blocks mage tower supershots and briefly makes the dragon invincible. Nucifera will quickly die if it ever gets rage-drained, so try to balance using Magic Barrier for damage mitigation versus resource protection.

The Grand Destroyer

A force of nature, known for unleashing transformative wrath across the land.

Always ending one way or another at the city of Vasant, Danav's rampages across the Glowing Cradle are able to be predicted with some degree of accuracy. When the horns sound, a great exodus of refugees and travelers begin the journey away from the region, alongside the mobilization of Dragon Lords and armies to try to limit the catastrophic onslaught heading for the city. However, without the assistance of the dragon Naja, the chances to overcome Danav become increasingly slim.

Danav Spotlight Video

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/TSSgoE6CDdA" width="560"></iframe>

Design Intent and Strategy:

Danav is a powerful warrior with both ample AOE and single-target damage. Danav’s primary offensive spell is Destroyer’s Wrath, which consumes rage each second in exchange for massively increased breath damage. Destroyer’s Wrath can burn down almost any tower in moments, but try to maximize the spell’s rage efficiency. Enable Destroyer’s Wrath to burn through a threatening tower, then immediately toggle the spell off to avoid wasting rage. Cower in Fear is Danav’s other offensive spell, which damages and freezes all nearby towers, and destroys any mid-air projectiles. Cower in Fear can be used to lock down threatening towers, disrupt mage tower supershots, or just burst down an entire island with repeated casts. For defense, Danav has Blade Storm, which dodges all non-beam attacks and damages nearby towers each second. Blade Storm is Danav’s best way of protecting its rage resources, so ensure that the spell is off cooldown when approaching an island with mage towers. Danav’s final spell is Delight in Destruction, which restores rage on cast and causes Danav to heal whenever they destroy a tower. Danav’s appetite for mayhem leaves it incredibly rage-hungry, so try to cast Delight in Destruction whenever possible. Any time spent with the spell off-cooldown is lost rage for an extremely rage-intensive spell kit.

The Great Protector

A holy serpent of legend, with many heads ever wary against threats to the kingdom.

Naja is an elusive and rarely-seen dragon. When Danav comes to destroy Vasant and ravage the Glowing Cradle, Naja is sometimes there to stand firm and protect the city, but not always. Aside from those titanic struggles, this dragon has no other recorded sightings. Though some citizens of Vasant grumble about their inconsistent protector, many others offer up worship to Naja throughout their lives. All acknowledge, however, that the only dragon truly capable of fighting Danav to a standstill is Naja.

Naja Spotlight Video

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/IqJOlyduPb4" width="560"></iframe>

Design Intent and Strategy:

Naja is a precision-based invoker that relies on its breath attack and Invoke spell to take down towers. Naja’s empowered attack is Invoke: Smite, which will destroy most towers in a small target area. Naja has no ammo recovery in its spell kit, so each cast of Invoke: Smite must be aimed carefully to destroy multiple towers. Invoke: Smite combos well with the dragon’s healing ability: Mark of Tribute, which marks a target tower. If Naja or one of her allies destroys that tower, they will restore health and rage. Invoke: Smite can be used to easily trigger Mark of Tribute, so Naja can reliably heal with each ammo cycle. Naja’s primary defensive spell is Protector’s Resolve, which can be toggled on to shield Naja from all incoming damage. The shield drains rage each second while active, so try to activate the shield right before a big hit, and then turn it off immediately to conserve rage. Naja’s final spell is Turn the Tide, which briefly cloaks the dragon. Upon uncloaking, Naja gains increased breath damage for a short duration. Turn the Tide offers a mix of offensive and defensive utility. The bonus breath damage allows Naja to take down multiple towers per ammo cycle, and the cloak can be used to protect Naja during its reload period and to dodge mage tower supershots. While it is important for Naja to protect her rage resources, the dragon can recover from rage drains better than most. Mark of Tribute costs zero rage, so Naja can start rebuilding her rage meter even if it gets completely drained.
